After all Mark is a filmmaker whose latest script attracts the attention of a major studio. ![]() I am sure the film was a labour of love for Williams. Silvia has an affair with a work colleague who tells Silvia that no one likes working with her. There is casual sex and the characters are unlikeable. ![]() X/Y is meant to be a flick through of the lives of young people in metropolitan New York. Only to get into an argument over Jen's own issues such as her one night stands with strangers. Meanwhile Silvia confides with her sister Jen about the break up. Jake is popular with women but also full of self loathing. Mark leaves to stay with a British friend Jake who is a model/photographer/artist. He plays Mark whose marriage with Silvia (his real life spouse America Ferrera) unravels when she confesses to an affair. It is directed, written and stars Ryan Piers Williams. X/Y offers moody disjointed vignettes that lacks narrative impetus.
